In the Mood – J.Crew Fitting Room Reviews

J.Crew is offering 40% off your purchase when you use the code: HOLIDAY.  The sale starts today and runs until Nov. 27th just in time for Thanksgiving weekend.  Well I wanted to share with you a few of my fitting room reviews on some of the new arrivals at J.Crew.  If you haven’t checked them out yet, then head over to the new arrivals or check out some of my favorites here.  Anyways, here are a few of my fitting room review of some of my favorite new arrivals.  Let me know what you think.

I’m loving this Bow-shoulder Top in Festive Plaid so much that it had to come home with me.  I missed out on the bow-shoulder top in stripe and gingham from the summer, so I wasn’t going to miss out again.  I’m wearing a size 4 here and I would say that this top runs true to size.  The top is a little loose with a slight flow at the hemline.  I tried on a size 2 just to see the different and it was just a little too snug under my armpits.  The material is lightweight, but crisp like a button down and you already know that this bow on the shoulder is the main star.  It's just perfect.

I’m obsessed with the print on this Flounce Silk Dress in Wolfstooth.  When I saw this dress online and then in the store, I had to try it on immediately.  It’s a relaxed fit dress with a flouncy ruffle hem which I love.  And I loved the way the dress fit, but I wasn’t in love with it.  It just hung on me due to the straight silhouette.  I would have liked for it to be a little more fitted.

The Silk Twill Pant in Wolfstooth is a relaxed fit pant and it is so comfortable.  This pant can easily be dressed up with some heels or down with some flats or even sneakers for a sporty look. Like the dress, I’m obsessed with the wolfstooth print and I love the silk material too.  I paired this pant with the New Perfect Shirt in Cotton Poplin like the model online.  My store didn’t have my size when I went to try them on, so I'm wearing a size 8 and they were very baggy.  I tried them on in a size 6 last week and they were a perfect fit, I just didn't pull the trigger then.  Luckily I was able to order them before they sold out.  I'm really hoping that these pants will be restocked so all of you can grab a pair.

This cute outfit that is perfect mix of plaid and lace.  I just bought this Festive Plaid Button-up Shirt and Lace Pants on Sunday and I plan on wearing them for Thanksgiving Dinner.  And don’t worry, these pants have an elastic waist so they are just right for all of the food that I plan on eating.  These pants remind me of the Reese pants from last year, but not as baggy.  They fit me perfectly and I didn’t find that they run large as others have expressed online. I’m wearing a size 6 here.  The lace pants are dressy enough to wear to holiday parties and if you pair it with the matching Lace Peplum Top it would be perfect for a more formal event.

Moody Style: 5 Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I’m not sure about you guys but I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time with my family, eating delicious food and getting in a little shopping on Black Friday.  Of course Thanksgiving is all about being grateful for all of our blessings and all the amazing food that we get to eat, but I still get excited about creating an outfit for the main feast. We usually keep the dress code pretty casual at my mom's, but I still enjoy getting a dressed up while still making sure I have enough room to breathe and grow throughout the evening.  If you don’t know what you’re wearing to your Thanksgiving dinner yet, then don’t worry cause I’ve got you covered.  I’m sharing 5 different Thanksgiving outfit ideas with you that will keep you comfortable, stylish and festive.
